I just hit 2500 miles. Honda service mechanic told me not to change oil before first manual spec'd 5000 mile mark. But my personal mechanic suggested that I at least change the oil filter. The Honda service manager agreed that this was a good and safe idea. My oil was almost a half quart low (after filter removed and a little oil loss). But the engine did burn a little oil during this break in period.
