I was hoping the '04 models would be spared the crack problem, but apparently not. I parked my car at work and when I returned two hours later, a crack was forming out of the passenger-side edge. The customer service desk at the dealer opined that it is indeed a stress crack and put the wheels in motion to replace it under warranty.

Good service. What dealer??

The service rep first denied having heard about windshield problems, but after inspecting it and determining that there was no apparent cause for the crack, several other service reps walked up to get a closer look, and one said, "I'll bet we're going to get a lot more like this."
