Well, my Element was one week old on Saturday, so on Sunday I said it was time to get the "E" dirty, so the boyfriend got his three huskies and I brought along my little lab and we took a trek up into the mountains. These shots were on the way back, unfortunately we couldn't get a shot of Panda riding down the highway with his head out the moonroof:

Tyson, my lab, found much safer harbor on the floor:

So does anyone know how to get Husky hair off the seats, floor, dash and every little crevice one can find on the "E"?

I haven't let my dogs in the E yet (she'll be a week old tomorrow)...but I did just find a terrific little tool to get the fur outta my husband's truck. It's called the Pet Hair Magnet (or something really close to that-sorry it's actually in his truck in a different state tonight) It looks like a squeegee with a pale yellow handle. It came from PetSmart and cost about 10 bucks. It worked really well, and there was SO MUCH dog hair in his carpet...that it actually was a deciding factor in our getting the E. Your dog and your boyfriend's dogs are gorgeous and so sweet looking! Also on the cleaning subject, I keep a swifter mop and a wisk broom/dustpan in the E...color me fanatical but I'm afraid to vacuum it without a brush attachment cause I don't want to scratch her up yet. Good luck! It'll be so much easier with an E and dogs!

those pups are beyond adorable.. great pix thank you for sharing!

on the cleaning, Gypsywagon you found that hair item to be effective.. i have it and it has been useless.. oh well eh.. could be the type of dog you have, what do you have?? I have a border collie.

For cleaning the E, i just use a bucket and sponge, wipe down the seats and floor, very easy.. then just dry it all with a sponge.. this also gets the hair up..

My pup road back with me when i picked up my E, no waiting there, my pup is very precious to me, so it only made sense he make the first ride in the E with me..

Ditto on the adorable pups!!! About the magnet. It worked well for me on carpet and fabric...but I did have to use short strokes at a 90 degree angle. We have a short hair Pit Bull/Black Lab mix named Xena and a Golden Retriever/Lab/Collie? mix named Haley. I'm going to try to attach photos. My first try wish me luck. I know I sound heartless not having taken the kids for a spin in the E...but I'm really trying to be consistent with them, and they tend to be a little rough in the car (Xena would prefer to ride with her front feet on the dash) and I worry about their safety and ours. And, unfortunately we bought the car before I had the right dog barrier and the cargo mat ordered. But both should be in be this Friday. Don't let them fool you though...they both sleep in the bed with me and my husband and the two cats. They are not underpriviledged! Plus they were THE major deciding factors in our car purchase!!!

gyps-wagen.. awwwwwwwww cute.. love the brindle color on your pitbull.. when i lived in the city i had a neighbor with 2 pits, who had a litter.. from behind they looks like a row of kittens.. with all the cool colors.

the magnet: yep think that is part of it.. short hair, it does great with the shorts.. not the longs.. my pups has lots of fluff that goes everywhere.. so that is a problem..

i did not think you to be cruel either.. and does seem the E owners, most of us have pups and the vast majority our pups are our babies (even those with the human type too)..

well hope they are nice to your E, i can see they are determined critters who take possession.. hope your bed is big enough for what the 5 of ya.. whew!
