My "view new posts" hasn't changed in three days. Any suggestions?

It's working for me using Firefox 0.8.

The possible causes I can think of are:
1) your local clock is or was set wrong.
2) your browser caching is set wrong and/or corrupted (try clearing the cache).
3) some change on the EOC's hosting site that screwed up compatibility with the browser you use.
4) you exist in an alternate, less entertaining universe.

The site seems a little slow to respond tonight, but since Cameraman's regular avatar is missing, I have a hunch this problem lies at his end of the pipe.

I find that if I have multiple browser windows open, my EOC "view new posts" won't reset until I close all browser windows (I'm using Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6.0). I.E. apparently stays logged into the EOC site until all browser instances are closed. This happens at home as well as at work. Maybe this is what you've experienced?

I think Brendan hit it. My calendar got reset to September a few days ago. I've since changed it back. Good call! So now, what's the fix? (BTW, thanks)

Rats. I was hoping it was option #4. There goes my contribution to string theory... :)

First thing I'd try is deleting your local cookie for the site, reboot and try again. Perhaps that'll help, but you'll need to re-login. If not, not sure, T Mac might be able to reset something in your account. But try the cookie removal first.

See, I knew I should have been more specific. How do I identify the local cookie for the site? Thanks.

Without further info, I'll assume you're using IE under windows:

You probably want the bit on deleting individual cookies.

Did you close all IE windows, delete the cookies, and then immediately reboot?

Did it ask you to log in again?

If it's still broken at that point, you can ask T Mac to see if he can reset the last-read counter on your account.
