: Dream Element
Hinano 06-07-2004, 01:10 AM Hi All, I don't have an E yet but I've been considering it. I took a test drive today and loved it! This site has been very helpful in my decision. I was goofing a bit in photoshop and came up with this image. I hope you all like it..

Nice! Now you need to come up with a three-word name and acronym for that color scheme. Some suggestions to get you started:
Evening Star Pearl.
Night Sea Shade
Moonlight Cloud Mist
Ocean Fog Blue

Hinano 06-07-2004, 01:32 AM Good suggestions all (except maybe evening star). I'll let you choose.
GypsyWagon 06-07-2004, 09:03 AM Great image! I particularly like the ocean reflected in the side panels! Sweet!
GYPSYTDA 06-07-2004, 09:51 AM is that an intended reflection or striping..?
if it is striping.. ick.. otherwise the paint idea is interesting..
Good luck on your new E to be!!
Hinano 06-07-2004, 10:43 AM Originally, I just was playing around with the image to see how the E would look if rather than painting the plastic panels to match the paint, paint the lower doors matte to match the panels. I got a little carried away.
The ocean was intended to be painted on very subtle-like. Of course, much like most E owners, the panels are starting to grow on me! :D
Ocean Fog Blue - OFB. I like that.

they give it a unique personality.. (the plastic panels)..
BEATBOX 06-07-2004, 12:57 PM Cool!
When's the last time an automobile created so much imagination and inspiration?
wmas1960 06-07-2004, 04:08 PM That is a really nice design. I have seen so many concepts to cover the panels and they all seemed to miss something. I do sense an ocean wave graphic on the side??? That would be a cool idea also. Your concept doesn't need it but I was thinking of why I didn't like the all orange one and other attempts to completely paint an element. They seemed to miss something. I think it is that on an all color E. the front should maybe be kept with gray plastic and the flairs on the wheels should be kept plastic and gray. That would add the contrast. I think leaving the roof trim and the rear window trim on yours gray, or is it the same blue color as the lower body?, may have been part of that sort of touch. I also like the stripe along the separation of colors. LOOKS GREAT. Think you hit a home run on it.

Wolfmeat 06-07-2004, 08:26 PM It's got my wheels! I love those wheels. Although there are a number of makers mine are 18" Enkei RPF1.
All you need to add are the sidesteps. They would look great with the silver upper.
Hinano 06-08-2004, 02:11 AM OMG! I knew I forgot something--the sidesteps! I'd love to see some pics of your E. I just placed the wheels on there but I'd love to see how they really look.
Wolfmeat 06-08-2004, 11:22 PM Here you go. Enkei RPF1 18x8 with 245/45/18 tires. They are 1" smaller than the stock tires. The E is also lowered using Eibach Pro springs.

What is funny is that I was able to use the stock center caps from the OE wheels. People look at the E and tell me they didn't realize that Honda offered Enkei wheels as an option.
Hinano 06-09-2004, 01:32 AM nice, nice, nice and very nice! Seeing your E has thrown my want into overdrive! That's exactly how I want mine to sit. How's the ride with it lowered?
Nice photo too. Not to sound unappreciative but do you got any more? I've been trying to find good images of Elements that are larger (higher res) so I can try make some desktop images but they are hard to come by.
Nanook 06-09-2004, 01:50 AM Man, those wheels look great. It's a refreshing change to see someone get *smaller* ones. ;)
Wolfmeat 06-09-2004, 09:02 AM The ride with the Eibach springs is very good. Large bumps are obviously going to be harsher but the normal road bumps are just as nice as stock. I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and they help the ride also. I had tried the BFG G-Force T/A KDWS and they are much harsher riding.
The handling improvement is intense. The Element is already a sporty handling vehicle. Now it feels racy, except for the engine.
