: Driver's Seat Dial Adjuster - Gashed - Is This Covered...?

I just got my "E" 2 weeks ago and I love it.

Now, I didn't notice it until now, but the Driver's Seat Dial Adjuster Is Somehow Gashed... Is This Covered With The Warranty...?

Also, it looks like someone tried to remove it with a screwdriver and damaged it. Perhaps someone broke their dial and got it switch with mine before I got my "E"?

I took it to another (more local) dealer today and he told me I need to bring it to my dealer for repair - is that right? I thought that any service station has to replace/repair my "E"...?

Also, this injury is covered by the warranty, correct?

All dealers can perform normal warranty repairs. But this may be just something your dealer should have fixed before delivery.

Before calling Honda....by chance have you called the selling dealer and asked them to fix it?

i am also curious if you asked your dealer.. more times then not they should be willing to make you happy, regardless if this happened after delivery and especially if it happened before!

don't get upset, just let them know you just noticed it, (with the exitement of having an E, overlooking this is very understandable). Give them the chance to make good on this.

As far as service from any Honda dealer, yes you can get service from any dealer, but with a concern like this, this should go to where you purchased it.. and over all for most new service you should go to the dealer you purchased it from.. they will often have extras for ya like free oil changes, free detailing etc.. let them earn the sale (even after the fact)

good luck keep us posted!

My dealer should undoubtedly fix this for free. Is every dealer expected to fix this for free?
