Quick question for all you dealers out there. I ordered my Element in Connecticut. On the contract is a $299.00 conveyence fee which the dealer said is charged on all new cars in the state of Connecticut. Has anyone else run into this extra fee? or should I be taking my business elsewhere. Maybe Massachussetts which is just up the road.

i don't know if that's required or not, since i don't live in connecticut, but if i were you, i'd just tell them to take $299 off the price of the e or else you'll go somewhere that will. there are enough dealers out there that you'll find one who will be willing to work with you.

and if they balk, get your deposit back and leave. don't let them make you feel guilty or obligated.
