Has anyone else had their antenna ripped off?  Some dill weed stole mine at REI on Saturday. Local dealers want anywhere from $23 to $29 for a new one. Got a $7 replacement at Kragen, but it looks wimpy. :x

fosterbo,

Ouch, that stinks.

The antenna just screws on and off, so it goes so real easy.

From what I have heard, the antenna is the same as the S2000, so perhaps you might be able to get one from one of the Honda parts places, H and A maybe, for less than your local dealer.

Good luck

What can you do with a pinched antenna - nothing. Anyway try www.manhonda.com for your parts. They're a large dealership that highly discounts their genuine Honda parts. just send them an email or call them and they will give you a price quote quickly.

Did the replacement antenna effect your reception?

one thing the rest of us might want to do: go to a local hardware store and get a produt called 'lock-tite'. it comes in different strengths: red being the strongest, and is used to hold bolts in place inside motors.

place a bit of that on the antennae threads, re-attach antennae, and it will be very difficult to remove. for a ligher hold use the blue lock-tite...

Yes, the cheaper Kragen antenna doesn't have reception as good as that of the stock antenna.

This community is great - wonderful imput about lock-tite and efficient replacements, and empathy to boot. Thanks to all!

It's incredible. I bet it was more for the souvenir than for use as an antenna.

All the Jags and Merecedes have their hood ornaments stolen around me - even the new one on display in the middle of the local mall, but those kids got caught before they got out of the mall.

Sorry you had to go through that crap.

the easiest way to replace your antenna:
find an element or CR-V in a parking lot, and take theirs! :D

JUST KIDDING! PLEASE DON"T HATE-MAIL ME!!!!
