For those of wishing to mount an interior fork (a great way to carry
your bike) please do yourself a favor and check carrier specific
manufacturers first before purchasing the honda forkmount.After choking on the $110 price I checked the Yakima and Thuli catalogs and found
flat mount pickup bed alternatives for one half to a third of hondas price,
realize that you will need to find some appropriate flat metal stock
ala honda mounting instructions for the under side of the rear deck cover.
Its not Hondas fault they build cars not bike hardware.
(make no mistake the thuli- Yakima alternatives are much better crafted
and more functional.)

Thanks for the tip! As for me, we have a Thule 4-bike rack that we mount on our Blazer that's serving us well right now. We haul two adult-sized GT's and our kids little bikes back there pretty well. I'm still partial to hitch-mount racks, probably because of having a family. No doubt that it would rock to be able to quickly pop a bike in and out inside if I were just going trail riding or something by myself.

I bought two fork stands from Performance bike shop for $15 each. I just connected them to a good size 2x4 and padded the bottom with rubber. I did not want them connected to my floor all the time. Also using the board makes it easy to adjust the spacing between the two stands so if the two bikes are close to the same size you can stagger them some. I am adding some finishing touches so when I am done I will post a pic.
