Elementally Insane

Using your diagram, I wired two RCAs to the sub wires, wired in some 8 gauge power and now my 10" sub sounds right at home. It is so sweet to be able to add a sub without using a high input speaker line.
Being able to control it with the factory head unit makes it even sweeter! 8)
I haven't figured out where the permanent home for the amp will be, but I couldn't wait any longer. The 6" factory sub is like a high school tease.
There is much debate about aftermarket head units being better than factory. However, if you remove their options and compare them solely on sound, the factory is typically the same. Besides, Alpine, Pioneer, etc. usually make them for the auto industry.
With the sub installed, I can tolerate the sound and save up for the Eibach springs.
Thanks again eMass!

Man I just saw an '04 E SOP(all panels were painted too!!) with about 15,000 $ worth of Alpine equipment in it!!
* 6 amps
* 6" screen dvd player
* 8 - 15" subs
and a PS2 !!!
Back seats were removed and all it had was about a 15" - 24" space from ceiling to floor to see out the back window !
kinda cool to see a mod like that !

It does sound like a cool E, but I'm not sitting on that kind of cash right now. I got mine simply because I am returning to school to finish off a degree and the '03 4 Runner and '03 50th Vette weren't fitting into the budget. So, we traded the vette for an '04 TL, she's sweet, and the 4Runner for the E. I like the Element, but it doesn't even compare to the refinement of the 4Runner, but the payments don't either.
So, I decided to begin the upgrades. I don't even hesitate to take the Element apart, but I wouldn't dream of altering the TL.
I guess I'm getting old, but it sounds like the same amount of money could have been spent more wisely. I want the most bang for my buck.
Here's a breakdown of the expected expenses:
Install sub and amp (remnants of F-150 system) $40
Install lowering springs/kit w/ alignment $600
Install mobile PC $1000
CAI and chrome exhaust tip $250
I bought my used '03 EX 4WD with tint, all weather mats, cargo mat, and tow package.
I like sleek, functional, and attractive without attracting too much attention. When people discover what you've got, they get sticky fingers. I prefer the "I can't quite place it, but something is different" appearance. So, no painted panels, no dubs, no block away bass. Just a sweet "sleeper" ride.

Be sure to tell these owners about EOC when you run into them in person or on the web. ;)

So you installed a 10" sub in the area where the factory sub is/was?? (under the stick shift)
