My 2nd day in the area, I drove up to Larch Mountain, which supposedly boasts a spectacular view of Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens, etc.
When I arrived at the peak for this view, I was greeted with a 20 foot visibility, due to low clouds. It did make for a couple of interesting photos however:

And who could forget my E (It's a GG, FYI. I was in a B/W mood):

Nice
A silver Element does better at hiding in the mist - this picture was taken in mountain clouds to the NE of Mt Rainier last spring.

You come from someplace with no mountains??? Yuk.

We get really good at pointing out where a view is...
"and over there on a clear day you can see....."

meanelvis!
"thank you... thank you very much" ;)
Those are some NICE pics! Very original with the B&W effect too. My sister used to live in Portland, OR but she moved. I really miss visiting that city, especially the awesome parks! Portland has really grown up nicely, you'll definately be happy there. Especially if you like rain! :)

thanks guys.
Bush- thanks for the welcome back, I've been on hiatus for awhile :)
Edison, I find it an awesome place (so far, knock on wood). My next door neighbors (married couple in their 40's) had me over for the best vegetarian stir fry, followed up by asking me if I wanted to toke up with them. This is my home, I can feel it ;)

hilarious you should say that- my recruiter took me on a tour of the Gorge just before the big interview (got the job, obviously :) ) and I literally got tired of him saying "look over there, take a picture! oh look! look! thats a great view!". I had to drive the gorge myself to enjoy it fully, and understand his enthusiasm for myself :)

Thanks for the compliments. I used no digital enhancement for those although I did scan them into photoshop. Kodak's 400 speed B&W film is one of the greatest things ever. I love the quality I get out of it.
I'm still trying to think of a mean slant I can put on one of Elvis' sayings. Any thoughts? :)
