: Those LED windshield washer lights?

I was thinking about putting those cool LED windshield squirter lights on my new Element. How tough do you think it'd be to do it, and would that kind of tinkering void my warranty?

Just say NO...as many times as you can... I beg of you! :D

Please don't add to the population of annoying LEDs...do Strobes or something cooler!

 Cool? If that's what you want, do it. I think it would be the first, RICY Element. :x Instead of the LED squirters, just get a Uncle Ben's Minuite RICE box, and glue it to your hood. Like Drop E said, JUST SAY NO!!

I had blue ones on mine and the Cops gave me a ticket!!! They said I was impersonating a emergency vehicle, can you believe it!!!

Depending on state laws - those are illegal.
Be careful.

Please, no Rice-E's!! LED's and strobes are both elements of a riced-up vehicle.

Forgive my ignorance, :? but I've seen a number of references to vehicles being RICE. What does that mean? :?:

I can deal with strobes. Just not the LEDs. Kinda thinking of strobes for my E. Use it as a pace car for our groups track days. www.donutzracing.com

Well, all of you can bite me :) Haha... I dunno... still seriously considering the LEDs. I just like the look of 'em... plus they're not visible really unless they're turned on, which means I don't have to look like a choad unless I want to. Still nothing compared to the blacklight, washer LEDs and neon license plate ring on my girlfriend's KIA!

Drew

p.s. According to the Rice Boy site, I am not a Rice Boy because I wouldn't make any claim that adding LEDs to my Element somehow improves the performance. :D

Well, after reading all of the vehement opposition here, and realizing that if I fry anything under the hood I'll have voided my warranty, maybe I'll opt for some other customization instead. Perhaps I'll just put some bright orange neon tubes in the back window with the 12-volt outlet!

I don't know about any other state, but any sort of lighting effects are illegal in Michigan. Not to mention annoying as all get out.

Then again, we also have a law on how bright your headlights can be.
