I just bought a Sik Imp for my Ipod and I'm only getting sound to my left side speakers. Is this normal?

You probably should have bought a healthy Imp instead.

Check the audio cable running from Sik to the AUX input. Does it have two rings or one on the plug? If it only has one ring it is a monaural cable, if it has two rings it is stereo. If it is a stereo plug, make sure the cable is not defective. If you run the cable from the headphone jack to the AUX input, do you get stereo sound? If you do, it indicates the Sik is defective. Just to confirm, I had the same issue with my new Sirius unit that I installed this weekend. A quick check of the plug showed one ring. I went back to my wire nest cabinet, found a stereo plug and all is well with the world.

That's correct. Around here we refer to female to female cables as lesbian cables and any cable that converts between mini jack to RCA style plugs is lovingly referred to as a bisexual cable. :lol:

If I can dig up a the part I'll post a picture, but one of the parts I used to order quite frequently when I was corporate PC repair tech. was a gender changer, wait here's a pic I found on the web.
