: Adams Polishes
HBElement 09-17-2004, 11:19 AM I do not know if any one has used his products, I find that it is one of the better products out there. Can apply most of it in direct sunlight. and it is very reasonably priced.

That is pricey stuff!
Of course you are free to spend your money and time in whatever way you find most entertaining.
I will stick with my $6 bottle of Kit car wash, which lasts about a year of 4 cars, and my $6 or so bottle of Eagle One Wax As You Dry, 2 old towels, with a bit of 303 on the tires. Seems good enough for me and its FAST. Doesn't seem worth the step up in results for the time and money spent to go with Adams...but to each his own.

Of course if I was sinking the cost of a house into a car...I might feel differently.
HBElement 09-17-2004, 08:30 PM Question, How do you know that it is does the same thing if you never have tried it??
Thier VRT is great stuff for the plastic Pieces inside and out
You R correct can spend money on what we want but for the cost I find that this is a great product
Thanx

well....
By looking at the above photo, using a "cheap and easy" approach, I really wonder just how much shinier the car NEEDS to be than that, even if something else CAN make it any shinier.... 8)
But hey, if you are happy with buying a couple hundred bucks of car care products and spending your weekend applying them, I am certainly not going to discourage you from having your fun. Go for it!!!
To be fair....
I was looking at your link to the Adams "kits" when shocked by the over pricing. Actually looking at the individual products within the line, the prices aren't THAT bad. And in fact it makes me sort of wonder about how much padding is put into that "kit" price.
Seems like IF you are going to TRY Adams products its a whole lot better deal to just buy a couple of items that you really need.
....unless you NEED a half dozen or more products to get the Adams results at all...THEN I am back to my original .......huh???$$$?
Honu,
Probably better to let folks spend whatever they want. We should however start a new topic area for us "economy" focused people. Maybe call it Doin-it-cheap-doin-it-right. I've already offended a few folks when I pointed out that their outcomes didn't look any different between the more $ and the less $ products.
Scubasonic 09-20-2004, 11:54 PM I got to tell you it is all to confusing to me there are so many products out there don't know what to use first you wash it, then the cleaner then the carnuba then the best of show oh ya forgot about the buffing. I have no clue................. I have always used Mequires that seems ok....I get Griot's catalog and all the stuff looks good but with all the plastic on the E I want to use something that if I get a little wax on the plastic it doesn't turn white the next day.
ARE YOU FEELING MY PAIN !!!

Edison 09-23-2004, 06:50 AM As a compliment to Adams Premium Car Care products, may I suggest Adams Natural Peanut Butter (creamy, please) for those pesky wax streaks that some get on the panels.

HBElement 09-23-2004, 09:51 AM My panels are painted, I cannot feal you pain, I the VRT (Vinyl,Rubber,Tire) would work nicely, Maybe the In & Out Spray.
I do have some plastic pieces that I will try and see how it works on them

 I forgot that indeed i am a believer in "Adams" products. I usually keep Adams chunky style in the frig......stirred, not shaken.
