It can be common in Colorado to go for a run in the morning, a bike ride in the afternoon, and finish the day with a swim in the evening.

The next day you might find the typical Colorado family skiing, or boarding, or hiking in the mountains.

So what's the best car for active amateur Colorado athletes? So without further obfuscation here's number 4 of the 5 Top Cars for active amateur Colorado athletes:

4) Honda Element

This car has all the same advantages of the Subbie wagon plus it more room so it will hold much more of your sporting stuff. With the Subbie you have to waste precious time putting your bike on top of the car. The Honda Element will eagerly swallow all your stuff for a really fast get away from your next PW (Personal Worst) at your next race.

Oh, holy cow no, that web page is just fine. Go click the "next" button and you will see that one of the other top five cars for those active Coloradans is a 204 mph Shelby Electric car. WOW! Boy oh boy, I'll bet that thing can carry both the running shoes and the g-string for swimming. For the third sport - what was that, skiing? - maybe they meant sliding sideways while driving on snow.

[Click "next" one more time and you'll see a super picture of Chrysler's "President Jim Press" model (that be the top photo). You could ride that model all the way to the poorhouse; some people are].

But going back to the Element article, notice how the photo of the guy has his eyes focused real hard, because that sunroof is only in his imagination on the 2009 model. So is the Tangerine color (Kiwi, too. Oh, poo!)

LOL!!

It's too bad the new Gens don't have the sunroof anymore LOL so that pick up line belongs to us Gen1 owners

I know this is an old thread, but the comment is still current -

The Element has made SEVERAL positive lists over the years (referring to its usefullness, etc.) but Honda STILL didn't get it and killed it anyway..... :-( :-(

It wasn't second to list in a listing of all vehicles for all purposes. It was #4 on a list of the top 5 choices by "Denver Car Gear Examiner" for "for active amateur Colorado athletes"

Putting aside the question of the quality of the rater, there were dozens of models to choose from in 2009, so #4 was a very high rating.
