Like Dan said if it's a valve it will run horribly especially when cold. Fuel economy will be terrible as well but you can feel and hear a valve issue most at idle.

Berz out.

Update from Honda dealer:

They believed that the code was due to tight valves. All exhaust valves were extremely tight! They have adjusted the valves. But, the code remains.

They did a fuel test. Said seeing 17% alcohol. They think this could be the reason why. I don't buy this. I have ran 2 different tanks of gas. I told them this. They said to try again and see. They said if the codes still do not go away, I will need the air fuel ratio sensor replaced (guessing 02 sensor)?

So, going to try the gas thing tonight! Sensors be here tomorrow.

Also, the motor does "clack" a lot at cold start, but does not idle badly etc. Oil change did help become quieter quicker.

Thank you all, I appreciate you master mechanics jumping in and helping this sap out...

They did order a seat belt buckle to replace under warranty! Silver lining in all this...

Did the dealership clear the code and it came back, or they did they not clear it?

I am a little confused over why there is an expectation that adjusting the valves will clear codes that clearly point to bad oxygen sensors.

They did and said it came back, hence the gas!

Here is what it says in the sheet - "CHECK MAP SENSOR VALUE AND ST FUEL TRIM ADJUSTING VALVES NEEDS TO BE A STARING POINT FOR THIS DTC"

Yes, STARING - LOL, I typed in their typo on purpose! :)

My honda dealer emailed me and showed me a sheet with a list of things they found wrong with it....This was listed on the top of that sheet. I can make my email a PDF and attach it, if you want to see it, but its nothing great - said I needed brakes, tires, every fluid change under the sun etc....
