Add Dorman to the do not buy list

This is a first. Dorman spool valve assembly less than a month old and leaking oil through the VVT oil pressure switch and out the plug.

There are two types of Elements in this world, ones that I own and ones that I don't... yet.

Some of the Dorman stuff is good... it's a crap shoot.

Do you want to gamble?

Pissing oil like that could have been the demise of that engine, if not caught in time. Your lucky.

I'm not a gambling man. Downtime is the enemy in my business.

Bummer. I can't think of a single example of a bad Dorman part for me. Usually, they are pretty good. Most recently I installed a replacement trans pan w/drain plug on my 2002 Ranger Edge. It was a Dorman part, and the fit was like OEM. Maybe you just got a defective one?
