Tail lights

So, I really don’t like the way the stock tail lights look. They are way too... red. I would like to tent them or fog them.. or something. I'm not quite sure exactly what I want or how to do it, that’s why I'm asking you guys!

Tinting takes away too much of the bulbs light in my opinion. Try looking for the SC tail lights. You can find an aftermarket set for $120 ish on ebay. I've got them I like them. The chrome inner housing is black so it gives the look of a darker tail light with out obstructing the visible light.

You're welcome and thanks! A simple search for "tint tail lights" will pull up lots of threads if the SC is not your style. Let us know how your mod turns out!

Unless you want to reduce your nighttime visibility to other drivers, and possibly open yourself up to getting a ticket, don't tint the lenses. With many municipalities running deficits, obviously modified brake lamp assemblies are an easy target.

The SC lamp swap is safer than masking or tinting, but even some SC owners with stock SC tail lamps have been pulled over and had to prove their lamps were stock.

^ Very true. I would love to show a cop they are real. bet that would be a nerve racking yet fun road side event. I can say that either people dont give a darn and love paying the ticket for tint, or the Atlanta cops, local, hwy nor state give a damn about tint. Because you see at least one car on the road tinted waaay too dark to be safe each time you are out. They care more about speed limits, following traffic signs and drunk driving around here.

I put SC tail lamps on as soon as the SC came out. Never got pulled over, and it's the most subtle improvement to the car's look.
