Loud clunking from rear while turning left only
2003 ex auto awd. 115k miles. Dif fluid was drained and filled at 94k miles. Swaybar end links and bushings have both been replaced and the rear driver side strut has been replaced.
This problem just started yesterday out if the blue and is unlike any of the rear clunks I've heard from bad strut or bushings. It is only while turning left and over 5mph. It is not faint it is quite loud and repetitive not just one clunk it's over and over. Any ideas? I at first thought something with the dif but why would it only be while turning left. Thanks for your help everyone! Nick |

I have used it, that's how I knew to change the dif fluid bushings and strut.
You still think it would be dif fluid? It's a different noise than last time and only while turning left. |

How long has it been since last changed ???? The differential fluid has a life span of about 25k or so . Glad you found the FAQ helpful .
Good luck |

Thanks. I just noticed it is also doing it over large bumps. What in the world would it be that is also doing it turn a left turn? I'm so confused.

My exhaust hits on same types of left turns. I guess it loads the suspension more. FYI: I have an Injen exhaust...

Ahhh I figured it out, It was just that one of the nuts backed off a little on the swaybar endlinks i installed and it was causing all that noise.
thanks |
