fog light replacement, lights from ebay

hey all!

So I've been drivin around with my passenger side fog light out. Decided to pull the light to replace the bulb, when I noticed that the light housing itself was 1/2 full of water when I got it out on the work bench I removed the rear cover which all but 1 screw came out ....had to drill out the last one.

The dealer wants $150.ish depending on where I go for ONE LIGHT!!!!

Went on EBAY and found these. Needless to say I order them and will give them a fair try.

I'll report back what my experience is like. If all goes well, it will net a nice savings....

not bad. when you get them can you post if the lenses are glass or plastic please! are the oem ones plastic from stanley?

I can tell you that the OEM's are glass....ie, the one's the dealer installed. will be interesting to see if these are glass.....
got to believe at this price, there must be some construction differences/savings....quality may be an issue.....

my OEM lasted about 7yrs.....if these "knock off's" last 1/2 as long, I'd be ok with that.....

They are glass. Purchased mine on Eslave for $59 shipped. Included OEM dash switch.

So far very pleased with quailty and performance.

Oh I went yellow, not for better results in fog(never ending debate). I just preferred the look with Black.

so the harness is a direct plug in too? and you're saying that the switch on the stalk is included too?

Thier is some wiring required (small amounts). Also I drilled some access holes, hidden from sight for level adjusment(a must in my opinion).

This video shows alot of the DIY. Simple job.

Can the OEM harness and wiring directly plug into the aftermarket housing?
Is there a difference in the female end of the plugs(the ones attached to the housing) between the OEM and the aftermarket ones?

Also, did you order the 03-04 or the 05-06? (there shouldn't be a difference but I WANT the yellow ones too!)

Got em, all glass and metal housing from what I can tell. Exact match to the OEM's....easy swap...perfect for the money!!!!!, seems like a good investment so far....
