uhhhh..."when it wears out??!!"" Is there such a thing in my lifetime??!! I have 65K on her now, and am ALMOST 50, so, with Consumers Report saying it will last 250K+, I'm not looking for a replacement "in my lifetime". I take VERY careful care of my vehicles (mainly because I'm cheap), so it will be here for a LLOOOONNNNGGGG time...

I would have mine redone from top to bottom, end to end and still not pay what a new one would cost in 10 years!

The best thing is that the Fiat 500 fits perfectly in the Element if you remove the passenger side mirror from the Fiat!

I've considered getting rid of the Doombox at several points over the last couple of years. I actually have recently been seriously thinking of getting rid of it and getting something in a 97ish Town Car. After Mr. X's Neon went away, we bought a '97 Town Car that's become his daily driver. It rides so smooth, the seats are way more comfortable, it's got actual intermittent wipers, and it gets the same gas mileage with a V8 and more power than my E does.
What's held me back is A) finding a good example of a '97 Town Car for a fair price, and B) we just bought three houses that all need to be refurbished. I will say that after 114,000 miles and six years, Honda quality does not impress me as being any better than Ford quality or GM quality. My seat has a split in the side now. It makes some random clunks and squeaks. I have multiple dash lights burned out (the right side of my speedometer is now dark). Yeah, the thing still runs well, but our Town Car still runs like a brand new car with 197,000 miles on it and all the dash lights (on the digital dash!) still work. My E's been a good car, but not a great one. My replacement for it (which will likely come just as soon as I've graduated and have gainful employment) will either be the Town Car Mr. X is presently driving (and we get him something new) or a Focus ST.
