The pistons will be your issue there, with the k24a8 pistons being like the k24a4 pistons in the sense they are not full vtec head friendly, clearance wise...

Kpro would work for tuning for him for sure, there are just very few on this board willing to spend that kind of money on modding their E...

wondering how this went, but since i haven't seen it said; You'll need the 07+ radiator also, the hoses and sensors are in different locations on the bottom. My SAMCO rad hose research taught me that.

Won't have to change the rad. Just swap over the egr passage (thermostat housing) from the 2006 head to the 2007.

The fully assembled heads have different part numbers. The "bare" heads are the same. All parts can be swapped over from one to the other.
