06 element stalls when put into Drive when Cold

I have an 06 Element that stalls out when the engine is cold.. It's fine when Idling.. and will drive fine once warm.. but if the engine is cold and I put it into Drive it will die.. If I get the car moving it is fine.. but as soon as I get to a stop sign and slow down it will kill. Just got new spark plugs.. and no codes are showing up.

I am seeing similar problems all over the net but no solutions..

one notable thing is I did have a new transmission put in within the last year.. thinking that may have something to do with it.

Has anyone had this problem? can anyone help?

How many miles do you have on your Element?

I think your best bet would be to get the valve clearances checked and adjusted. Here are a couple threads that might help:

Had a similar problem, did the valves, now NO PROBLEM at all!! A couple hours (took my time) well worth the effort. Would definitely recommend it.....
