welcome alex. great first thread. how about a night shot of the headlight beams on something. what did you have in mind for the plastics. if you want the whole car painted search ebay and junkyards for ones that are already painted as they are smooth and the ones you have are textured and are a pain to paint. hope that helps you out some.

the quality of the headlight housing is about the same as the stock headlight housing. As for night time brightness its about 10x better then stock. infact ive had these headlights for only 2 weeks now, and ive been pulled over i think about 4 times for apparently having my brights on, but I always get off with a warning from the cops. ( i will take a pic later tonight of how bright they are shining on something.
As for painting the plastic parts i need help with what type of primer to use. as you can see in the pic i just posted i shot off the paint i put on my front bumper cover there. so im not sure on what type of primer to use. i also do plan on painting the whole car. possibly all satin black or two tone it with black /n/ blue. not too sure atm what i want to do, but this summer i will paint my E. |

When you constantly get pulled over for your headlights that's NOT a good or cool thing. The reason you get snagged by the cops is because your headlights are a safety nightmare for oncoming traffic. Get them adjusted properly so you stop blinding oncoming traffic.

What you need to do is park the E facing a large wall head on from about 45ft away, and take a picture of the light pattern of the headlights on the wall.
That would be very helpful, as I dont think Ive seen anyone actually post how well these lights actually work. They look pretty good, but Im not feeling the blue turn signals (50 state illegal BTW).

yeah my phone likes the auto correct photos all the time.
the first photo is really how it looks all the time. the second photo is what it looks like after my phone corrects it. |
