Reupholster or Swap out my front seats?

Hello to all,

First i wanna say thank you to all that have made a contribution to this website. I have researched this site up and down about my situation.

The stock seats are horrible and the vinly part has cracked and about to rip.
Do i just get the seats reupholstered for 300 a piece or swap out the seats with the civic si or rsx seats?

My only worry about swapping is the side air bags, not sure if they are a plug and play with the element seats or do i remove the air bags from the stock element seat and put them in the civic or rsx seats?

Just looking for some advice from people have have done both.

I'm not too sure how those seats will work since the element seat belts are attached to the seats unless you get a six point harness? You can also get seat covers that may help with the wear and tear.

only after 07 is the belts in the seats. 03-06 had door mounted seat belts. i am always looking for deals on rsx seats. the problem is the side airbags are in the seats and i cant dseem to find a picture showing the rsx seat airbag exploded i found the E's cause if they are to different then you have to remove the side airbags and put a resistor in-line to fool the srs light.

Well what I was thinking is removing the air bag from
the element and putting it into the rsx or civic. This way
the srs system remains the same.

I have a 2006 with the seat belt on the door.

can anyone let me know where I can get a diagram as to how to remove and reinstall the drivers seat so I can put a new seat cover on it? thanks in advance for any help.

Factory service manual.

Do a search for rocking drivers seats. Honda had a fix (mostly new nuts and rivets) with instructions on how to remove the seats. It's on the site somewhere. I did that fix and the seats are not really difficult to remove just take your time.
