Between my own and customer vehicles I have installed at least six of the storage armrests. With a little patience you can do if without any additional cutting.

I have an '07 LX. To be honest, I don't remember what, if anything, I had to cut.
But I guarantee you it would be an easy installation. It does make my parking brake a bit more difficult to get at it. But I live with it (and I set my brake every time I park). In terms of access to the cupholders on the floor, yep - it does make them tougher to use. But I have a thermal coffee mug that I use half the times I'm driving...and all I do is reach around the armrest (over the top of it, and down along the passenger's side, to drag it up and out). A bit cumbersome, but it works - and the comfort/size of the added-on armrest more than makes up for any clumsiness. I highly recommend sticking one in. Just my 2 cents.
