I think I do about 40% city and %60% highway, I can get anywhere from 22MPG to 24MPG, my last few fillups were getting me 23.7 to 24MPG - in the 300ish+ miles per tank.

Nice avg Chris! Wish I could get that... but the MT's RPMS are well above 3000rpms at 5th gear. :( I really need that 6-sp conversion.

About to take possession of my first Element, an '08 SC.
With the same engine in two different models, my mpg has been:
Accord Sedan 5 sp stick 93k miles - 25.57 mpg (195k miles, being replaced by the SC)
CR-V auto 9.3k miles - 23.39
An extensive Excel workbook
So better aero with stick shift trumps.
No surprise!

A difference of 4 mpg based on 12,000 miles in a year of driving= 193.00 at $2.30 cents a gal.= $16.00 a month=3 trips to McDonald's, give up fast food and drive it like you stole it!

2,400 miles later and the auto SC is averaging 20.83 mpg compared to my ex-Accord's 5 speed 25.57. Do those 18" wheels make a difference?
