That's awesome! I haven't seen one of those in years. Talk about your original ultra compact. Is that yours? It looks to be in the most excellent of shape. I would love to see more pics if you have any.

more on the BMW...

It's a 1958 BMW Isetta. I bought it as a junk heap back in '98 and restored it (took about five years...). Some of its more unusual attributes:

1. It has one door that opens in the front.
2. It has a one cylinder engine (300 cc).
3. It only goes about 45 mph.
4. It has four wheels; the back two are only about 1.5 feet apart.
5. It beats the Element on gas mileage: 60 mpg!

One of the musts I needed in a new car was the ability to pull this thing. The E does a good job of it.
