It is a quick 20 minute fix.

Here is ramblerdans page with the DIY.

Maybe check the fuse first....
So, where's the fuse?

I think the "CRUISE CONTROL" annunciator in the gauge cluster is an LED built into the circuit board, not a bulb that can be changed.

The Eleman, the dash lights are powered by under-hood fuse #2 (15A), which also powers the front side lights, front parking lights, license plate light, and taillights. The odometer lights don't have a separate fuse.

my light for my temp knob is out. Did anyone make up a DIY to change them? Just hoping they did.

Search term "hvac" returns this thread. If you use the Tag search field, any of the following terms will return it: "a/c," "air conditioning," "bulb," "control," "dash," "heat," "hvac," and "light."

That thread is also stickeyed in the Problems & Issues forum.

My odometer light just went out on my '05 Element. Through the link provided above (thank you), I was able to disassemble the instrument cluster and pull the burnt out bulb (#76). Per the suggestion in the link, I tried replacing it with a #74, but that bulb was too big, it wouldn't seat into the socket. I tried the two major, local auto parts stores (Napa and CarQuest) and neither said they had ANY listings for odometer replacement bulbs, and definitely nothing in the #76 size. Strange... Probably a Hawai'i thing.

Of course Honda has them so will have to go that route tomorrow.

Does your parts store have #2721 bulbs?

Hi -

Thanks to everyone for the great info on here. ramblerdan thanks for the tutorial on your site. I did the 7 dash lights and the 2 odometer lights tonight in about 20 mins with my 4 year old helping. I got the bulbs from the stealership and they were not that bad in price at all.

Thanks
Dave
