Got the dreaded P0141 code on the scan. AutoZone now has a Bosch sensor that is called "O.E. type." The counter guy says it is different from the old "universal" type in that it is plug & play. At $55 as opposed to $140 for OEM I am tempted. Anyone with any experience with this particular item? Anything I should know on the removal and install? Thanks.
Save yourself the trouble and buy the oem type. Cutting and splicing a connection underneath the vehicle is bad news - you are opening up the wire harness to contamination from the weather and road conditions.

I stopped selling Bosch sensors a year or so ago. They had a one year warranty, and lo and behold. About 10 months in, I had to replace every last one of them. I see them cause emissions failures and check engine lights all the time. Its worth the extra few bucks to have piece of mind and a good working part.
I bought the Bosch direct plug in before the catalytic converter from Autozone. It did not work for me. The OBD still threw the 1157 code. Autozone would not take the sensor back for refund. I purchased an OEM sensor from Bernardi and that worked.
From what I understand, the universal O2 sensors are not compatable with Honda's. Majestic has about the best prices or sometimes they come up on ebay
