Hitch question

I bought a four bike rack with a 1 1/4" receiver and a hitch to go along with it for my old car. My question is this...would I be better off buying 2" hitch for my new E and buy an adaptor for the 1.25 bike rack or just buy another 1.25" hitch.

Are there any big advantages to having a 2" hitch. I really don't plan on doing any towing...it's pretty much just to haul the bikes. But.....you never know what the future holds.

Shoulda just bought the 2" to begin with.....shoulda, coulda, woulda. I guess my hindsight's as good as anyones.

Opinions?, Miguel

Get the 2" hitch. You'll be much happier with it and in my experience there's a LOT more accessories for a 2" hitch than a 1 1/4". That and I've always felt the 1 1/4" is just sooooo wimpy! The tongue weight on them is so low a normal adult can't even stand on it!

What was that?? I think I'm hearing voices again! Sounded like Rocket Dog said I was right and I KNOW that's not something I'd really hear!

Ethel, where's my medication!?!?

As usual...thanks for the advice...2" it is. Reminds me of the old grade school joke...."Two inches more and I'd be a king, two inches less....a queen".

Never heard that one around here. We had more class. We spent our time talking about cultured things, like "I am rubber, you are glue!"

Good choice!
