Bear Attacks Plane - Plane Survives

Apparently a bear attacked this plane while parked in a remote field in Alaska. The pilot had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the bear smelled it.

2 new tires, 3 cases of Duct Tape and several rolls of cellophane were delivered, then he went about repairing the plane so he could fly it home.

Gutsy.

The plane is a 1958 Piper Super Cub. The incident appears to have occurred 9 years ago (oldest posting I found on the internet), but in the last month has resurfaced anew. The attached image is dated July 2009, so N9368D is back in service and based in Anchorage. My first flight with my dad on my 11th birthday was in a 1955 model.
