I have 4 Bridgestone Blizzaks on mine! Love em! The Element pulled itself and my trailer and tractor up a moderately steep hill while scraping snow underneath. It didn't really slip much. That 4WD and snow tires work well! My trailer/tractor combo weighs in around 1300 lb.

Cooper all season - stock size on stock wheels.
Never needed more than that in all the snow dealt to the New England area. Hell, I pass Jeeps on the highway all time, I seem to do better than they are....
