i know this is old but...

jimtesla, good work reporting back.

e.honda, you need to relax dude lol

to add to this thread and to make it more useful i can tell of the cheapest option available for the ridgeline key and fob in one. when i did it last year, $6 ebay ridgeline key, $10 cut at local honda dealer, and then i took the chip out of one of my valet keys and put it in the ebay ridgeline key. im sure you can still do it for under $20 today.

I have a 2004 AWD MT EX - purchased with only 1 key+fob but would like to have 2 spares. I purchased 2 Ridgeline keys from ebay (remotes r us) and paid Honda dealer to cut/program but they were unable to program them. Different threads give differing advice but I think I need to purchase separate T5 chips + purchase genuine Honda Ridgeline keys, take to Honda dealership for cut+programming. Input or advice?

Vince, I ordered two CRV 2005/06 combo fob+keys from Majestic for my 03 + 05 Elements. As soon as the key blanks are delivered I’m heading to “Locksmith’s” (forum member) shop to have them cut and programmed. The immobilizor in the 03-08 Elements is the same as the 05-06 CRV.

This EOC thread for 03-06 E’s

Update: the 05/06 crv all-in-one key+fob does NOT WORK on 2003 E’s
