Best Way to Accept Pmt for Sale of My Element?

I believe I have a buyer for my car. I haven't sold a car privately before.

Can I/should I accept payment via an app or is there a better way to do it?

A buddy was burned by a forged cashiers check. Only accept one if you go up to the bank teller with the person when they get it.

CASH

The only exception I made was when I physically went to the bank with the buyer and he got a cashiers check right then in front of me

When I bought my first Element from a private seller he required me to pay him with a cashier's check.

Safest way is to meet at the bank and have the cashier's check printed/made out in your name.

Plus, you will need to have the seller sign the title in front of a notary public probably.

Not sure about other states but here in CA, notary public isn't required to sign over the title/pink slip.

Same here is Missouri and in many other states as well.

CASH is King though and no excuses really for anything else,as a seller there is no downside that I can think of.

One downside is counterfeit cash. Almost as easy to print as a fake check.
Go to the bank.
