transfer E-Camper to new E?

Hi

Has anyone here swapped an e-camper top from one element to another or removed an e-camper top for another reason?

can this even be done?

im thinking about trying this if i can find a sweet later model.

Cool Food for thought??

I certainly do not wish to rain negativity on your idea...
(I've had a few of those myself... and I'm not even sure if I'm thinking about this correctly...)
...but does your top use the factory moon-roof for access?
The newer Elements didn't have a moon-roof...
(Not that a hole couldn't be made, I mean... I do own a Sawzall...
it is a favorite tool of mine... just thinking out loud really)

Thanks for reply KM

Funny, I didnt think of that but assumed all EX trim AWD models had one. I have a sawzall, and used to have a pneumatic 'nibbler'... where the heck is that?

I will check for moonroof if i end up shopping

my trans and a/c compressor may be shot and i need compliance joints, control arms, tires and more. low mileage but high age, so i'm trying to figure out my best move.

take care

E

Yes, 09+ did away with the moonroof in the rear for all trims. Ursa Minor DOES do installs on 2WD models though, so they actually cut a matching hole to accomodate. Maybe you can source the finishing trim they use to finish the newly cut hole?
