Adjustable Coilovers not the best option?

Need new struts. Plan on getting lowering springs. Here’s the thing, I was planning on going with element sc struts to get a little stiffer ride, but when I poked around I realized that going with coilovers, even like bc racing ones, it would cost about the same. My main reason for not necessarily wanting coilovers is that I live in pa and drive in winter weather. I figure an oem setup with a lowering spring is going to hold up better in the salt and ash than a Coilover. I’ve never had a set of coilovers on a car before and was just hoping for some input from people with more experience than I. Still haven’t found much about it with google or the search bar, but I may just be looking in the wrong places. Thanks!

SC Springs are much stiffer then stock DX,LX,EX. I recommend grabbing a pair of SC rear springs first.

I used these:

You can swap these on to your stock struts, if you add them to your cart and wait two days AdvanceAutoParts usually emails you a %25 code.

This EOC thread is interesting also:

Thanks for listening spring rates Maxx134a
