Hankook DYNAPRO HT RH12 TIRE P215/70R16

I'm in the process of shopping for tires. At first I was set on getting the Firestone Destination LE in stock size again @ $109/tire, a $70 gas card rebate is also incentive.

I checked Sear's website since there is a Sears Auto Center near me and found they had this Hankook DYNAPRO HT RH12 TIRE P215/70R16 for $99.98/tire. Its about $130 everywhere else. Now what trips me up is why I cant find a singel person on the internet that has actually reviewed this tire. I don't think anyone here has posted about it either. It's a new tire on the market, less then a year old I think but has already won a Consumers best buy digest award (what ever that is) and I tend to agree for $100.

Anyone have any thoughts on these?

The price actually is not high, but for me the same price is Hankook and Uniroyal, and I think I would chose the Uniroyal .....

Clever trick there, Sears.

Online they are listed as $99.98. Then once you go through the steps to include installation… they tack on an additional 21 dollar handling fee per tire, that’s $84 bucks extra, Split that up and we are at $121.00 a tire. I called up the service dept and asked them for a quote over the phone, dude told me $121 ea.

Additionally, Getting them shipped to me would only be $68 extra (instead of $84), so in this case If I had to go with these, it would save some money to have them shipped to my warehouse.

Good grief, scratch these off the list now. Unless anyone has any stellar recommendations on them.
