CV shaft is unavailable from Honda?

Howdy!

I've ordered the right front driveshaft from three online dealerships only to be told it is not available and Honda has no time as to when to expect them to become so.

First, I find this utterly remarkable.

Second, what are dealerships doing when one comes in needing replacement?

Backorders on parts forany vehicle is not out of the ordinary.

We just go with aftermarket if we cant get an OE axle.

Same here in a GM dealership.

Most parts are on intergalactic back order, even for new vehicles.

Aftermarket crap is the only option.

Choose the aftermarket crap wisely.

I'm certainly open to any aftermarket brand suggestions as I haven't had any luck with any of the non-Honda ones in the past.

I got plenty of practice swapping them out on my '05 until I broke down and bought the OEM ones.

Thanks.
