  1. Grille Guard Install Illustrated

    Do-It-Yourself / Mods
That's exactly the same stuff I used... It works pretty well, but not exactly the stiffest material in the world. It bends pretty easily if you crank too hard down with a zip tie.
  2. Trade-in value?

    Shoppin' and Test Drivin'
I'm just curious if anyone has tried to trade in the Element, whether for a different or newer model? When I tried this weekend, two separate dealers offered me $11,500 - $12,500 for my 2004 SOP EX 2WD w/ 8,000 miles and not a scratch on it. They offered the following reasons: 1) It's a...

Well, I've decided to keep the Element and pay it off. My girlfriend has been begging me to let her trade in her Civic for a S2000... So it looks like we might be going that route. She wants a red w/ black top.

It's like waving a hotdog in the astrodome. Or was it like parking a bicycle in an airplane hanger?

And to all the haters: You either like Mustangs or you don't. But I'll leave you with this: Type in a search for Element, and you will get 8-9 pages. Type in a search for Mustang, and you will get 400-500 pages of auctions. Do I really need to explain the rest?

Wow, I leave the post for a day, and it blows up! I ended up staying with the Element. The Ford dealership let me keep the car over the weekend to make sure I liked it. And I did. But they wouldn't give me enough on the trade, so I walked away. Oh well. The Element is a fun daily...

The pictures speak for themselves. The Element was fun, but just wasn't me. I had fun with it, but I've always been a Mustang driver at heart. Picked this up yesterday:

Did you forget to disconnnect the battery before swapping?
  9. Painted Calipers.

    I dig it! Looks good.
  10. Who says she don't look orange?

    Image Gallery
Just washed and waxed her today. Wax courtesy of Eagle Wax-As-You Dry, which I found pretty useful. I've had her five months now:
  11. Did the Pilot wheel swap today

    Do-It-Yourself / Mods
I think you are the only person who has been dissapointed... LOL
  12. Vertical Doors ?

    Exterior
Would be helpful in small parking spots though...

  14. POST all the service you've had on your "E"

    Problems & Issues
6,000 miles & 6 months later: Dealer replaced windshield because it had a star before I picked it up. The new windshield received a "fix" due to rock chip in upper left corner. No problems since. I have noticed a faint "buzzer" or chime noise from the rear that sounds like a fuel pump...
  15. 03 Honda Element Oem Rims

    Trading Post
You might want to drop your asking price a little bit. Most people have sold new wheel/tire sets for $400 - $500 ... I think the wheels alone are probably only worth $200 - $300 at the most. Just a suggestion.
  16. Ridgeline

Honda El Camino.... that's what I think!
  17. Street Racing mishap with Acura Integra

    Miscellaneous / General Element Discussions
No kidding... I'm guessing they were able to get out safely?
  18. Possible oil leak

    Problems & Issues
Doesn't look like anything to worry about to me.
  19. Rear Bumper Scuff Marks

    Wax on, Wax Off
It's a shame you didn't have those new "bumper scuff pads" that are being advertised... I'm sure it would have avoided the problem..
  20. Upgraded brakes?

    Under The Hood / Performance
18 " rotors? Is that a typo? I don't think supercars come with 18 " rotors. 12 - 14 " rotors is considered high performance. I had upgraded brakes on my 1994 Mustang GT and used the 13 " cobra rotors. Besides, is the rotors were 18 " they would be touching the wheels..
