roof rack clearance

I bought the Thule square Load Bars and the Curt basket based off a few threads here. After installing it, it seems like it sits higher than most. Is this right? What do you all think? It bothers me a bit but i don't know what I could do about it.

I am thinking of getting the Inno Lowdown Cruiser on factory oem bars for my Element. Does anyone have this setup and know what the actual vehicle clearance is installed?
