  1. Greetings & Introductions
The flying toaster recently began "chattering" in reverse and drive when stopped. In park and driving no noticeable chattering. Haven't checked motor mounts or exhaust shields, but it sounds like a chain skipping teeth. Does the BZKA have a chain belt? Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Under The Hood / Performance
So I've put a lot of work into getting my E setup, but even after adjusting the valves, replacing spark plugs, having the dealer completely overhaul the V-tec solenoid system, engine still ticks a lot at idle. On a motorcycle, this would normally be due to a worn or wearing cam chain tensioner...

Changed spark plugs and error continued. Advised to change coil packs as well. Changed coil packs but error...

Since I got the car back (it's been 23 days) my husband and I have been hearing a low whining/whirring...

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly. I’m guessing timing chain? Or timing chain tensioner? Any advice is much appreciated!
  6. Maintenance and Service
My first time here...I read many good advisement's, so please help figure out some repair priorities. My 2005 no frills 2WD with 149K has got a leaky valve cover and my mechanic said I should replace the gasket. While he's there should I also... replace the timing chain and tension-er, (the...
  7. Maintenance and Service
As many of you know Honda has started using timing chains on their engines instead of timing belts. I am not sure why they are doing this, they have used timing belts for the past twenty years. Also new on Honda's is the engines have been turned around and the transmission is on the other side...
