  1. Help with tow decisions, moving, life..ugh. Lots of questions.

    Racks, Hitches & Towing
Hi everyone, I have been trying to read and research, it takes so much time. I live rural and hard to go and see and talk to people about my options. I love my E, and just got it last August. I don't want to sell it, but I do have a loan on it. Last month I called it quits on my relationship...
  2. Trailer Hitch Wire Harness Recall Problem

    Problems & Issues
Hello all! It's been a while since I've been on here, but I've still got my E and it's running strong! My question today is about the Accessory Trailer Hitch Wire Harness Recall. I took my E to a dealer and had them do the recall, but they said they couldn't properly do it because there was no...
  3. Brake power - Strong enough for Airstream?

    Under The Hood / Performance
Hello, I just joined ya'lls group today! I am a proud Honda 2007 SC owner and LOVE my girl "Minnow". Problem: I am renovating a 23' Safari 1969 Airstream into a mobile retail shop to travel American in. I have completely gutted it (about 1,000 lbs. gone) and am rebuilding it to be a shop (no...
  4. Photos and Walkthrough: back-up camera installation

    Mobile Electronics
Background: This thread outlines the steps taken to install a licence plate-mounted back-up camera (hard-wired) along with a dash-mounted 7" TFT LCD monitor. Given that my Element is used to make frequent trips with a utility trailer, the independently-switched camera offers the ability to...
  5. Teal Tail Feather Camper

Trailers, Campers and Teardrops… oh my!
Has anyone seen one/used one/own one? I see on their website one of the buyers towed it away with an Element. I am intrigued by them. They are certainly affordable (about $10,000 for their top-of-the-line model not including utility...
  6. What I've been towing... Custom Trailer Content..

Trailers, Campers and Teardrops… oh my!
Thought it was about time to share the custom trailer that I built for scratch about a year ago specifically for traveling with the element. We normally sleep in the the E or in the roof tent that I also made and do a lot of traveling racing bikes so I made a trailer to support all of the...
  7. It's a camper AND a boat

Trailers, Campers and Teardrops… oh my!
Edit: Can someone move this to the trailer threads? Thanks - John I came across this and thought I would post it for you guys to see. It's a camper and a boat I think it is way cool, minimalist and very quirky. Check out the video on the link. :) At 380 kg our little Elements could easily tow...
  8. My SC pulling my pop-tent trailer.

Trailers, Campers and Teardrops… oh my!
Here's a shot of my Element SC pulling my pop-tent. I had to cut a hole in the back bumper to be able to fit the tow package, but it works great. The trailer weighs about 1,500lbs and the E pulls it no problemo.
  9. Long Distance Towing, Worried About Sway

    Racks, Hitches & Towing
Greetings Everyone, I'm making a trip from southeast PA to Minneapolis and will be using my E to tow a 5x8 utility trailer with some stuff totaling probably no more than 500-700lbs. I'm completely new to towing and I'm wondering if trailer sway is something I should be worried about. I'm...
  10. Electrical issues after hooking up trailer

    Problems & Issues
I recently connected a trailer lighting kit. Immediately after the installation there were no problems. I then borrowed my friend's trailer which had a crushed wiring harness. When I changed out the connector on the trailer there were two brown wires on the connector and only one on the trailer...

  12. FS: Towster Camping Trailer

    Trading Post
The Towster is a home built retro camping trailer that we pull behind our E. I spent last year building it, and it works great. We are thinking of "upsizing" our camping now that we have a grandchild. The Towster is a rolling Kitchen/Shower/Bathroom. We sleep in the back of the E. If you...

A couple weeks ago I got one of the 4x8 foldable utility trailers from Harbor Freight on sale. It is the largest foldable one available, 1175 lbs capacity I think. I was putting it together this weekend and noticed a faulty weld. On each front side rail, where the rail from the hitch arms...
