I noticed that recently I don't get the vacuum release pressure when I take the cap off the gas tank? It this any cause for concern?

Welcome, geoi310. I wouldn't worry. If it does become a problem, the check-engine warning light will come on, and the computer will store an error code that can then be downloaded by a diagnostician.
