I am thinking near future to buy an enclosed utility trailer 6x12 and was wondering if there would be problems towing it. What is the towing capacity of our rides.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but.....

Officially... 1,500 lbs total weight.. 150 lbs tongue weight...

Class 3 hitch will probably say it has a 3,500 lbs limit but that is for the hitch itself.....

Unofficially... If you search for towing threads you'll find people regularly exceeding the "official" weight limit by quite a bit.

Check your owner's manual, there's an entire section on towing. The trailer might be within your capacity unladen, but unless you transport pillows,
not when loaded.

I'd be hesitant to pull something that bulky in a crosswind, even unloaded.
