Battery is good lights all come on fine.
Have been giving me problems on and off for a few months. Sometimes doesn't want to start (turns over until it sounds like it is dead) and I can jiggle the keys and then it starts right up. But not now since yesterday. In the video below you can hear it barely try to turn on the last try.

Wondering if it is ignition switch but if a ignition switch is going bad will it still be able to barely turn over or will all the panel lights still work fine? It will take a couple days for the part so any other suggestions besides the starter?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Yes, the battery is brand new and I even went to Sears and they checked the battery. Headlights and inside lights work fine when trying to start.

Same problem I am having. Just think it's the power of an undersized battery. There are threads here that talk about putting in a larger battery.

maybe a starter problem....but it sure seems like a bad battery or ground or cable corrosion type issue.

Just had a similar problem turned out to be the starter. According to my mechanic they do sometimes malfunction. I also had a new battery which I thought was bad, so first went to Sears to have it test. They said it was good along with the starter & alternator. Glad I had my mechanic check it the next day now it starts like new.

Did watch your video the difference with mine first attempt the engine would start to crank but not enough to start. It would start after 3 or 4 attempts.

Hope this helps

its difficult to get at it but.....

if it starts after someone bangs on the starter w/ a hammer while someone else trys to start it, its probably the starter.

Good luck.

It turned out to be the starter. I first took the battery to have it tested and it was fine. Next, I took the starter apart and took it to Autozone to have it tested and it was bad. It is not easy access to remove the starter. The intake manifold and exhaust system are in the way and need to be taken apart first. See instructions below:

I would buy the starter from Honda online which is cheaper than the Honda dealership. Maybe ask your dealership for the online store and then have it sent will call for free pickup.
