guys I'm on the market for MT,
have a question -
2009 manual - still throttle-by-wire?

so messing with ECU if I swap the engine?

and if I stuck off road and push the gas - is it straight momentum depends on how I push the das pedal or the torque coming through 'brains buffer' like any automatic?

if someone sells his MT AWD or want to swap for AT - I have 2005 Rallye Red EX AWD in a good condition with 130,000 miles

tnx!

Don't quote me but I think by 2007 all Honda's were on DBW. The Element definitely switched over then.

The DBW throttle is linked to the VSA (also added on 07 and later Elements). I'm not sure how well the VSA worked in the Element what with the hydraulic AWD system or if there is a "low gear" mode, but the VSA will choke the throttle if it senses too much slippage.

Hopefully, somebody here with a late model E can comment on how well late models worked in getting out of mud/snow.
