It looks like I'm 50/50 now, but won't know till Summer time. I really want to go and get tips from seasoned campers. Haven't gone camping in 20 years and that was with a bunch of friends after high school. Never went camping before that so I'm a total newb. :(

This is the Big Deal meet of the year and it will be a mongsterously awesome good time.
You'll be thanking yourself later for deciding to attend it.

This part of the world (NoCal -Mount Shasta) is jaw droppingly gorgeous!
Surrounded by national forests, lakes and rivers. Around here you can't help but have a good time.
Plus the folks who are going to this camping meet are some of the most wonderful people you'll ever have the pleasure of hanging out with.

Honestly.. I guarantee you a really good time! :)

All righty then! :cheerleader:
We had you guys in mind when we selected Shasta for the summer meet.
Bring yourselves, the Corgis and your banjo!
Didn't have near enough time to spend with you at Klamath last summer. This will make up for that!

PS: So exactly how far is it from Shasta to the Morning Glory? ;-)

Well I put my vacation request in at work. It will be weeks before I find out if my
vacation request is approved. I haven't called the Lake Siskiyou Resort yet to
reserve a campsite yet.

I just put in my leave request and Doc Farther is on the reservations. Unfortunately Corgi Jack will not be attending. My little buddy has passed on. But Corgi Rosie will be there!

Oh no, so sad to hear about Jack. We'll miss him just like we miss Ira. :-(
Rosie will have the run of the campground - leaving no food scraps unattended.

Great you guys are on board - this camping meet is going to be spectacular fun! :-D

Hey Gene,

Are we still doing individual sites for this camping binge or group sites?

Hey Gene,

Individual campsites.

The campground has "group" sites but it's for tents only with no direct vehicle access.(a no go for Teardrops and trailers)
So we're opting for individual sites instead and from what I understand they are quite nice.
All that's required to book a site is a $23 deposit.
Pay for as many days as you want upon arrival. Stay as long or short as you like.

Make your reservation deposit by contacting "Yvette" at Lake Siskiyou.
Tell her you are with the Honda Element Club. She's assigning our campsites so we'll be in our own area and not flung out all over the campground.
A painlessly easy process.

Campground:
Lake Siskiyou Resort & Camp www.lakesis.com
Date: 08/19 - 08/25
Contact Person: "Yvette"
Toll Free: 1-888-926-2618 (Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Campsite Fees:
Dry Tent = $20 per night
Elect/Water = $25 per night

Reservations:
Just call "Yvette" and tell her you are with the Honda Element Club and she'll get you hooked up.
Because we're booking individual campsites, peeps can double up in sites to cut costs if they feel so inclined.
