It looks like I'm 50/50 now, but won't know till Summer time. I really want to go and get tips from seasoned campers. Haven't gone camping in 20 years and that was with a bunch of friends after high school. Never went camping before that so I'm a total newb.

Got everything in place and selected the dates for 7 days of lakeside camping at the base of Mount Shasta "California's Mystic Mountain"

We're booking individual campsites and peeps can double up in sites to cut costs if they feel so inclined.

Note:
"Yvette" tells me the selected dates we've choosen are perfect for us.
All the kids will be back in school, it's the week before Labor Day and we'll have the place pretty much all to ourselves.

Gosh, their Web site is a disaster. Of particular note is the map, which shows a body of water in no way recognizable as Lake Siskiyou.

According to my mapping software, the entrance to the camp is N41° 16.4097' x W122° 20.9739'.

This is the Big Deal meet of the year and it will be a mongsterously awesome good time.
You'll be thanking yourself later for deciding to attend it.

This part of the world (NoCal -Mount Shasta) is jaw droppingly gorgeous!
Surrounded by national forests, lakes and rivers. Around here you can't help but have a good time.
Plus the folks who are going to this camping meet are some of the most wonderful people you'll ever have the pleasure of hanging out with.

Honestly.. I guarantee you a really good time!

Well I put my vacation request in at work. It will be weeks before I find out if my
vacation request is approved. I haven't called the Lake Siskiyou Resort yet to
reserve a campsite yet.

Individual campsites.

The campground has "group" sites but it's for tents only with no direct vehicle access.(a no go for Teardrops and trailers)
So we're opting for individual sites instead and from what I understand they are quite nice.
All that's required to book a site is a $23 deposit.
Pay for as many days as you want upon arrival. Stay as long or short as you like.

Make your reservation deposit by contacting "Yvette" at Lake Siskiyou.
Tell her you are with the Honda Element Club. She's assigning our campsites so we'll be in our own area and not flung out all over the campground.
A painlessly easy process.

I loved going to Mt. Shasta as a kid... I'm seriously thinking about attending.
