I just made my reservation from Thursday thru Monday(July 25 - July 29th). It seems I am the only reservation so far. FYI -- There is a $6.00 reservation fee in addition the nightly rate. Don't be shy, make your reservation. Dominic and I would appreciate some company around the campfire.

Link to info on 1000 Island things to do both in USA and Canada.

Don't forget to bring your passport if you want to go over to Canada. Kingston, ON is about an hour from where we are camping. Boldt Castle is a must see and just a short boat ride.

There is a great cheese making place called River Rat Cheese. Can be bought anywhere in Clayton or Alexandra Bay(A bay).

And if you are interested in 1812 history Sacketts Harbor and Kingston ON are the places to go to

Hope to see many EOC members. And if you can not make our meet, consider the MidWest meet run by Two Loose Wheels.

Some general info. This has also been posted on the facebook page

The closest walmart is in Watertown NY on SR 3 and I 81 which is about 20 miles from where we are camping. There are grocery and liquor stores in Clayton and in Watertown. Plus the Coyote Moon Vineyard and Craft Beer Lounge and River Rat Cheese is located in Clayton. The cheese is very tasty especially the smoked cheddar. Of course if cross into Canada there is the duty free shop as you reenter the US. I am definitely going to try the new distillery. Clayton is a quiet town. If you are looking for action you will need to travel to Alexandria Bay, also know as ABay. Lots of bars, restaurants, souvenirs and ferry services to Boldt Castle or river cruises. If you are into history go to Sacketts Harbor, NY and lots on Canadian side. Plenty of 1812 history in the area.

Here is the link to http://www.coyotemoonvineyards.com/ which has live entertainment both Friday and Saturday

If you are looking for homegrown vodka, gin or moonshine the Clayton Distillery is located just east of the town. http://claytondistillery.com
