I have 2 projects in mind that I want to combine because they both involve wiring to the center console (cupholder) of my 2003 EX. I am a novice at wiring, but can follow directions with pictures!

I was thinking of adding an additional fuse "box" under the console to power 2 additional 12V plugs as well as hard-wired heated seats so each item would have its own fuse. I found the heater kits here: http://www.heatedseatkits.com/products.php

My main question is what is the best way to run power and hook up a mini "fuse box" under the console? AND how do I have these work only when the ignition is on (so I dont accidentally leave them on and kill the battery)

Any thoughts, suggestions, experience would be greatly appreciated.

(at the very least, I want to run the 12V sockets. I know there is an FAQ sticky, but the pictures dont work )

metra makes a fused dist block that you could use. i believe that the 2 10 gauge power inputs are seperate inside the block so you should be able to have one go to the battery and one go to a relay that is hooked up so it could be switched with the ignition. id have to check one out later and see if that is in fact the case.
